Since the inception of the COVID-19 Emergency Food Intervention Plan (CEFIP), Yadah Empowerment Foundation has reached 31,266 Vulnerable families with needed food relief in 16 LGAs in Lagos, 5 LGAs in Rivers State,Nigeria. Helping families cushion the effects of COVID-19 through valuable partnerships with different local and international brands, thereby giving relief to the most vulnerable in the society. As the Pandemic increases, there is a need for all stakeholders to come on board to do more together.

Support for Universal Basic Education through Teacher’s Training

There is a growing realization that a good learning environment, availability of instructional materials, and learning aids must all be weaved with skilled and dedicated teachers in order to improve learning outcomes, especially in public schools. Hence, Yadah Empowerment Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives aimed at “Upgrading Teachers’ Quality” in Nigerian public schools, with a focus on basic education.

 

The key objectives of the Foundation’s “Upgrading Teachers’ Quality” initiative include:

Elimination of Unqualified Teachers

To reduce the number of teachers without the requisite skills and knowledge of basic contents to deliver quality learning in public schools in target states.

Provision of Teaching Materials

To reduce the lack of instructional materials for teaching in target states.
